Still looking for plans for New Year’s Eve? Have a few vacation days left to take before the year ends? Check-out some of the best places to celebrate New Year’s Eve, according to Condé Nast Traveller.
Hogmanay in Edinburgh, Scotland
The city of Edinburgh goes all out to ring in the New Year. The festivities begin on December 30, and continue for three days of partying. If you cannot make it to Edinburgh in time, Carnegie Museums is traveling there in August 2018 for another “famed annual event,” the Royal Military Tattoo.
Looking for some place more exotic? Then look no further than Hong Kong. The clock will strike 2018 sooner for you than your friends and family back in the United States. With the city’s numerous rooftop bars, you will have a hard time deciding which one to view the midnight fireworks from.
Carnegie Museums recently traveled to Hong Kong in February 2017. We stayed at the world-renowned The Peninsula and recommend eating at Spring Moon and Chesa located in the hotel. Also, make sure to visit Kowloon City and take a dim sum food tour.
New York City
And, of course, we cannot forget to mention our very own New York City. Home to Times Square and the Millennial Ball, New York City throws one mega party to kick off the New Year.
